Students & Families Support

A key to the success of any online learning program is the engagement and support of students and their families. The resources below are provided to assist district leaders in building awareness and acceptance of their district’s online program. Use these resources as you communicate with students and families about what to expect and how they can succeed online.

The intended audience for this site is program teachers using Accelerate Education curriculum. Please do not share the direct link to this page with students and families. We have created a site specifically for their needs at the Learning Coach Resource site.

Learning Coach Support

In a home-based program, the learning coach is a parent, a family member, or another adult who is at home with the student while the student is going through their courses. If students take their courses at a school, a learning coach could be a teacher, teacher’s aide, or assigned mentor. Be proactive in helping parents and caretakers understand what will be expected of them in their role as a learning coach.
