Schoology – Course Maintenance Process
Target Audience: Schoology Administrators
There are several types of course updates that occur throughout the year. Some edits require no action on the school’s part while others do.
Lesson Content Updates:
Course lesson page content is centrally managed in Accelerate’s proprietary Content Management System (CMS). If an update is needed within a lesson page, that edit is made by Accelerate staff directly within the CMS. Once published, the changes are immediately visible in the courses across all platforms, including Schoology.
Course Settings and Assessment Activities:
If an update is needed to a course setting or within an LMS asset (an assignment, discussion, journal, computer-scored assessment, etc.), the edit will be made in Accelerate’s master course copy and in the corresponding Group Resource. That ensures the Groups Resources shared with schools always reflect the most up to date version of the course. Because updates to shared Group Resources do not sync to live courses, any changes will also be communicated out to stakeholders so that schools will have the option to reflect those changes in active courses at their discretion.
Users who would like to subscribe to in-year updates affecting course settings or Schoology LMS assets should submit their contact information via this form.
